If you really want to live off Route 9, with its oppressive noise and air pollution, then this can be a very nice place, depending on your unit. Owners remodel their condos. If they replaced a floor without putting down any noise insulation, you will hear everything that happens upstairs. It's not the norm, but it happens. I had to move because of it. Unless you talk to the previous tenant, you will never know this. Also make sure that the openings in the wall for the pipes are sealed, or at least accessible. Otherwise, you will be smelling your neighbors' cooking odors. The building itself is set halfway up wooded Chapel Hill. You won't see Route 9, but you will hear it. You will also be cleaning the exhaust soot off your balcony furniture every week. The front is noisy and dark, but offers seasonal views of the Foss reservoir. The back is sunny and quieter, and has a wooded view. It's nice. The building is almost 50 years old, but it's well maintained and the interior is cleaned everyday. It is very safe. It's on a dead end road and has controlled access, security cameras and a nighttime security guard. It's a good place apart from the problems mentioned above.
