TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept - take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw - they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Had heard positive things about this place so decided to check one out while I was in the area. The place had interesting wall art but other than that it was lacking design and comfort. I was a bit shocked to find the $13 combo meal didnt include a drink, yes the pieces of chicken were big but overall it wasnt tremendous amount of food. Fries were basic. The milkshake was good. The workers were nice. The bathroom wasnt horrendous but I certainly wouldnt call it clean. It should be noted that seasoning has a south west vibe.

Easily the best chicken sandwich Ive had. Food was fresh and well prepared despite it being pretty busy. Sides were great too!
Staff were friendly and working hard to keep food going out at a reasonable pace.
The hot is pretty tasty but not actually super hot. The reaper is very spicy but not over the top and is still very enjoyable.
