The Hydrangea Inn

Such a comfy, inviting place. Joanie was the perfect hostess. So nice and friendly and breakfast was above and beyond. I felt bad I couldn't eat it more. Right on the harbor near town. Location couldn't be better. Visit the area often and will definitely be back.

The Hydrangea Inn is my favorite place to stay in Gloucester. The location is unbeatable --- a few of the Gloucester harbor, and steps away from the Fisherman's Memorial and a short walk to downtown. The rooms at the Inn are large and comfortable, with good showers. The highlight of staying at the Hydrangea Inn is the innkeeper Joan. She's one of the sweetest people I've ever met, and she makes you feel like you're family from the second you walk through the door. Not only is Joan a great storyteller, but she's also an amazing cook, preparing a multi-course breakfast every morning of the stay. One thing is for sure, a stay at the Hydrangea Inn will leave you planning your next visit. Rooms: Rooms have lots of space, stocked with extra items to make the trip more enjoyable. Nearby activities: A view of Gloucester's harbor from the front steps and windows. Just steps away from the Fisherman's Memorial, and a short walk to downtown. Gloucester is very walkable. Joanie and Petunia are a true joy! One of the most relaxing vacations we've had in a long while. Rooms: Very comfortable and clean. The suite common room offers a peaceful place to read, pray or just talk. Walkability: Beautifully cared for walk along the beach. Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. Food & drinks: Joanie makes the best breakfast for you and loves to accommodate your special requests.

What a fantastic time we had staying at the Hydrangea Inn. Our hostess Joanie was a ray of sunshine every morning with a delicious breakfast. Located directly across from the water and a 15 minute walk to downtown could not be any better. You will not find a more accommodating inn or hostess than this. Sept 2-4 2023 Rooms: Our room was overlooking the water and extremely comfortable. Great array of snacks and drinks. Walkability: Just a 15 minute to downtown and across from the water.

Beautiful Inn and the most wonderful host. The breakfast was generous, with terrific coffee , loads of delicious fruit and cakes, eggs and more! The bed was very comfortable and thanks to our host Joanie we truly felt at home. A wonderful experience staying here. Highly recommended.
