Pickles by all appearances seems to be well maintained, but the customer service was less than I expected. Ive owned a few businesses & truly understand that customer service is essential to any thriving business. The owner was less than sincere & treated my visit as an annoyance. Ive played national level volleyball & softball so Im more than capable of handling pickleball! Appears the last few reviewers & I are on the same page. When someone takes the time to drop in & inquire-you might want to at least pretend to care?! Your Arrogance & high brow snobbish behavior wasnt appreciated.

Fantastic facility for pickle ball. Had a very minor issue and the owners were awesome resolving. Very happy to be a full time member now. 5 stars all the way!

Before I get into reviewing this place I would like to give a little back story. Im a middle aged male from the south shore that suffers from learning disabilities. Although this was challenging as a youth I feel I have conquered many obstacles. Also I was a decent athlete and played many sports. Examples high school. golf team, baseball team, football team. Tried out for basketball. Not good enough with left handed dribble. Etc. currently I ride dirt bikes and play golf frequently. I was hoping to get back into pickle ball which I played for fun as a teen. I recently went to pickles in Hanover and was greeted by staff in a very odd way. When I wanted to get info about leagues I was bombarded with an abundance of questions. Do you know how to play? Can you keep score? Do you live in the area? How often will you play? What membership do you want? Etc. etc. I answered the only way I knew how. Defensively I responded, Ive played many sports in high school Yada , yada yada. But Id love to play pickle ball here and try to join a league Which got the defensive response of. How could you play all those sports if they where in the same season. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to see where this is going. To diffuse the situation and be the bigger person I walked away and sat down in the lounge area. For about 5 minutes I sat and evaluated what just happened. At that point I took a walk around the club which was full of patrons. I liked what I saw . The facility was clean and everyone seemed to be having a blast. So I proceeded to the front desk to apologize for getting off on the wrong foot. At this point only one of the staff members was at the desk and the other on her cell phone. She was pacing in circles behind me. At this point Im thinking what is going on here? Some of you reading have probably already guessed it. Lady/ employee number 2 was on the phone with the Hanovers finest. Number 2 proceeded to go outside and I followed. Greeted by three cruisers and a slew of police. This was upsetting to me to say the least. Basically what Im trying to say is , avoid this place like you would the bubonic plague. If you have any sense of being or self respect youre going to be greeted like a second class citizen. If you enjoy being the bubble gum on the bottom of a Yale physical trainers shoe, please be my guest. Remember, this is just my opinion. Please have the pleasure of forming your own.

I booked a coaching course online. When I went to reschedule online I was unable to. So I went to cancel online and still was not able to cancel. I emailed Pickles asking if I could reschedule and stated I even would understand if there was a fee for canceling/rescheduling but that if I was unable to reschedule I wouldn't be able to make it at all and stated there was an inconvenience with the ability to book online but no ability to cancel/reschedule. Lisa DeMerrit immediately responded by canceling the appointment and an email that said not only did she cancel but that Pickles "isn't for me" because I simply questioned the lack of booking options online and how I could reschedule. I sent another email asking what about my email asking these questions qualified for being told I'm not even welcome at Pickles and got no response. Absolutely terrible customer service practices. If this is the response from this place simply inquiring about this issue/inability to do anything online besides just book then I definitely don't recommend Pickles. It came across as snobby and entitled which is probably their client base if this is how they believe they can talk to, what would have been, a new client. I had fully intended after this coaching to get a Life Time membership and instead will let anyone I know about the treatment I received. You lost a potential client over an email asking for information.
