        I came home from work on a Thursday with an infected toe and could not walk. We were starting a vacation on Sunday and called several Podiatrists in the Andover area, including the Podiatrists at the Foot Health Center, who had been our family Podiatrist, for an emergency appointment. All of the Podiatrists said no appointments on such short notice, even for emergencies. My wife was very lucky to call Dr. Wachtel, who I now understand often accepts emergency visits. I visited Dr. Wachtel's office in Lowell on Friday and had surgery that resolved the pain and the infection. I was able to enjoy my vacation! Dr. Wachtel and his staff are very kind and professional. Dr. Wachtel's initial surgery and follow up surgery were great. We have now found a new family Podiatrist! Ken in Andover.

        Dr. Wachtel is an extremely intelligent podiatrist. Hes very personable, his staff is very welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you arent waiting long in the waiting room, and thats a huge thing because time is valuable. I will always come back here. I suggest you do too. RUN, dont walk to Dr. Wachtel, the best podiatrist around!!!

        Unprofessional calls and e-mails me at 9:30pm-10pm on a situation that isnt an emergency and making me have my mother contact him at 10pm on his personal phone number, while shes trying to sleep when she needs to be up for work at 1 In the morning.

        Dr. Wachtel is a serious podiatrist. He resolved my ingrown toe nail by surgically removing it. It healed and I am satisfied. Would recommend this doctor.

      Cortney, you needed help with a very important foot issue and so our team called around numerous facilities to set up an additional screening exam for your foot as early as possible. Normally you would need to wait weeks to have these screening evals done but we were able to change your appointment at a different facility so you could get care faster. Since we were unable to get a hold of you, we contacted your mom. This was all done during normal hours, we did not call in the evening as we closed then. Doctor Wachtel decided to send you a courtesy email around 9pm since we never heard back from you. Our team will put in the extra effort to help our patients who may need additional exams (like MRI or x-rays) and since most of these facilities take weeks to see a patient, we try to reach out IF an opening suddenly comes up.We wish you health and happiness.
