We recently had pavers in our backyard from JE Masonry & Landscaping and they turned out AMAZING! Agustin was kind, very knowledgeable, helpful and always quick to respond! His crew was prompt, hard working, courteous & efficient! They did a fantastic job and we couldn't be happier! I felt relaxed and confident knowing they were professionals. My house is about 150 years old with a stone foundation. During heavy rain storms or after a spring thaw, I would get water in the basement. The previous owner installed a sump pump, but it was not done correctly. The existing slab was a mess too. It was uneven, there were cracks everywhere, and it was not very thick. The air quality in the basement was poor, very damp and musty, which over the years caused the joists and supporting beams to sag. I wanted to deal with these problems once and for all, so I hired JE Masonry & Landscaping to remove our basement slab, install six permanent lally columns, install an interior French drain with sump pump, and pour a new 4 thick basement slab. This was not an easy job, but Agustin and his crew were unphased. They knew exactly how to execute the job. I was worried I would have to find a carpenter to remove basement stairs and a plumber to remove the hot water tank and furnace, but Agustin had a plan for that too. I was so impressed by his confidence and experience. In fact, I had a really hard time finding one contractor that could handle all of these tasks. I spoke to basement waterproofing companies They could do the drains and sump pump, but not the floor and columns... I spoke to foundation companies They could do the columns and concrete, but not the drains and sump pump. Piecing it all together with multiple contractors would have been costly and time consuming. My wife and I were so relieved to find JE Masonry & Landscaping and the price was very reasonable too. It took Agustin and his crew about 4 weeks to complete the project. I think it took longer than they expected, but they did not cut any corners. In fact, Agustin wanted to make sure that the footings for the columns were perfect, that we had a solid base of crushed stone for the new slab, and that we had a high quality vapor barrier. When the original concrete company canceled on him, Agustin called all over the state to find another company to make sure our project wasnt delayed. I was so impressed with his commitment to the job and the quality of work. The end product was better than we hoped for and it has completely changed the space. It is dry, the air quality is better, and the floors feel solid. My wife and I highly recommend JE Masonry & Landscaping.
