Dr David Flynn was my therapist (psychiatrist) for two years (2011-2013) while I was a patient at Austen Riggs in Stockbridge, MA.
Dr Flynn is smart, and able to well handle the medication aspect as well as the psychoanalysis aspect of being a great psychiatrist. During my time with Dr Flynn, he was able to identify the correct medication for me - to help alleviate my depression and anxiety. Further, in our work, I was able to have clearer and grounded thought and understanding about how to approach life and myself in a more organized and better way moving forward. I left the area (discharged from Austen Riggs and moved from the berkshires) in 2013 and stopped seekng Dr Flynn at that time and for that reason - it was the right time for me to move to pursue my interets (school) at that time.
It has taken a few years for me to feel much better and to be in a truly healthy place for an extended period. The work with Dr Flynn was life saving for me and was a great foundation for the challenges and life I have faced (and now sometimes enjoy).
