My youngest daughter just graduated from HNS this year and if Im being honest, I am not ok!! Hancock is a dream. Its a unicorn. The years of happiness this place has brought my kids and family is the most priceless gift I never dreamt of receiving. Every single teacher there is amazing and I mean AMAZING. They treat all the children as if they are their own. Theres no shortage of hugs, snuggles, laughter and LOVE at Hancock. Its truly a dream preschool. I will miss driving through those big stone arches and turning the corner to see the happiest families and children ALL SMILES dropping off to the happiest teachers. Cindy, the director, is one of the kindest, most loving, and creative people you will ever meet. She navigated HNS through Covid seamlessly, without skipping a beat. I swear the phrase going the extra mile was coined as a way to perfectly describe Cindy. The school is managed perfectly (also thanks to their wonderful business manager "Mrs. Holly"). If you are looking to give your kids (and yourself!) the greatest possible preschool experience, HNS is it!! It's not just a school, it's a family. You and your children will make memories and friendships that will last a lifetime here!

Our youngest children, twins, attended HNS for two years 2021-2023. They are now off to kindergarten! We are so grateful for the kindness, professionalism, care, creativity, and understanding of this beautiful school community and its wonderful professionals. We could not have been happier with our kids' experience AND our whole family's experience. During even these super challenging years, our time at HNS was bright. Thank you HNS! Highly recommend to ANYONE looking for a top notch early childhood experience.

Three of my boys have gone through Hancock and the staff has been kind, warm and loving. My kids had a wonderful experience and have loved all of their teachers. The teachers truly love what they do and we will remain in touch now that we have graduated and are moving on.

We sent our 3 boys to Hancock Nursery School (HNS) and found it to be a truly formative experience for all of them. The teachers are amazing, the community is friendly and social, and the school itself is warm and open about bringing all kinds of families together. HNS is a fantastic, child-centered school where learning and play mix beautifully. The teachers are professional, caring and fun-loving and it is clear they truly enjoy their time with the children. Each day is filled with activities that explore the kids interests, promote development, spark curiosity, and foster cognitive growth. And it all comes home as creative projects, brightly colored art, thoughtful gifts on the holidays and more. My sons had so much fun every day, excited to tell me about how they made pizza or learned about caterpillars or played with a new friend. The Parent Committee is made up of amazing parent volunteers dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for HNS families. They plan fun social events like the annual Halloween Party, the Ice Cream Social, Holiday Breakfast, and various Parent Meetups throughout the year. They really do a fabulous job getting parents together and creating opportunities for friendships among the families. One of my favorite things about HNS is its openness to all. I have personally watched three 3/4 year olds from opposite sides of the globe attend speaking no English at all at the beginning of the year. The teachers gently supported them as they learned the various ways to communicate and adjusted to their new environment. The children followed their lead and kindly introduced their new friends to the classroom, showed them how to say new words and even learned some new words themselves! It was genuinely heartwarming to watch these children flourish throughout the year at HNS. Now that my two oldest are several years into elementary school, I understand the real benefits of attending a good preschool. HNS growth mindset and strong emphasis on empathy and kindness taught my boys to be confident, collaborative, and compassionate people. And these traits have been echoed annually in their Parent Teacher conferences. It really serves as a reminder that the education, confidence, and love that is given to children on a daily basis has a lasting effect. I am so grateful to have had such a wonderful preschool in my town and highly recommend Hancock Nursery School to anyone looking for a friendly, kind, and nurturing preschool.

We have been a HNS family since 2016 and sadly, this is our last year. All three of my children attended HNS, and I don't have enough wonderful things to say about it! From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the warm and loving environment. Over the years, I have been so impressed with Cindy and the teachers and their dedication to the children. We are going to miss the them most of all! They take time to understand the unique strengths and challenges of each and every child, and adapt their teaching style to suit individual needs. They also foster a sense of community and belonging that contribute to a safe and loving space for children to express themselves, building their self-confidence and social skills. The play-based curriculum is fantastic and my children benefited greatly from it. There are also academic components that served my older two well when they entered kindergarten (and I am sure will do the same for my youngest when he goes!). Both my children and I have met some of our closest friends through HNS, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts. I highly recommend to HNS for families looking for a special childhood experience.
