One Childhood Early Learning & Care

From the moment we stepped in, we knew we wanted to send our then 6 month old to daycare with Monique! Monique is attentive, caring, and receptive to how we prefer to do things at home. The fresh and home-cooked food is a huge plus. Monique and Howie have both expressed genuine interest in us as parents and we are beyond grateful to have found them. Our daughter always comes back at the end of the day in a good mood and cheerful.

FTM here! I was extremely nervous about daycare, like my stomach hurt! Monique is really amazing! Everything is so intentional! The space, the activities, the food, and the diversity! I was looking for a daycare for soooo long and when I met Mrs. Monique and saw the space I knew this was it! Beautiful outdoor space and garden in the back! This place is truly a hidden gem! I hope they open a school so my son can stay!

My wife and I could not be happier with the outstanding care that Monique and Howie provide at One Childhood Early Learning & Care. Our two-year-old daughter wakes up every day asking if she can go play at Monique's house. We really appreciate the open concept and independent learning that's encouraged at One Childhood- plus the outdoor space (including hobbit hole! and water tables) is hard to beat. The hours are great (7:30-5:30) and Monique and Howie are super flexible. Did I mention they have a chameleon the kids love? Monique and Howie also run a myriad of cultural activities for every holiday ranging from Christmas to Day of the Dead and Dwali. I'd be remiss if I didn't comment on the FOOD- it's unbelievable. I review the menus daily and while it all sounds good on paper, it looks and smells AMAZING! If you're considering sending your child here, I'd encourage you to pull the trigger- you won't regret it!

My son has been going to One Childhood ELC for a little over a year now. He has done so well here I am afraid of how he will react when he goes to preschool! He took to Monique and Howie right away. When he first started going here he was still in diapers and when we were ready to potty train Monique was right on board and we were in undies in no time! I love that all of the meals are freshly prepared, lots of fruits and veggies. When my first started he was a picky 2 year old with limited foods he would eat. Once I changed up the meal time routine at home Monique followed suit at school and now he eats so many foods and things he would never touch before. I love that she sends pictures and daily/weekly updates on how he is doing. They do lots of outdoor play and do awesome field trips like the museum of science and even the beach! I plan to have my son here until he transitions to either preschool or kindergarten. I only wish I had found this daycare sooner!! We are so grateful that our son is at One Childhood Early Learning & Care. I cannot say enough about the education, care, socialization and LOVE that he gets there. For the last 2.5 years I have been continuously amazed at how well supported he has been during his time at One Childhood. The attention to his own interests, abilities and needs is superb and I truly feel that he is getting the best care we could possibly ask for. We go to work knowing that he will be safe, happy and will come home having had a great day with his friends. Monique and Howie take care to make learning a special and fun experience for all of the kids there and he enjoys the activities so much while at the same time gaining skills and knowledge. In addition to the care they provide for the children at One Childhood they are wonderfully communicative, flexible and understanding with the parents as well which is always appreciated. Choosing One Childhood for our son's daycare and preschool has been a wonderful experience for all of us!
