Edit: My review was removed - how is this not relevant to my experience at this organization? Our experiences at mosques and religious schools will not change unless our community's voice is heard. This is meant as critical feedback, not hate or spam. Salam, I went to the graduation ceremony for the Raheem Academy where they announced their brand new campus. It was a very poorly planned event by the school and based on it, I worry how the children are treated. It was very unorganized - a 5 hour event where dinner was served at the very end near 11 pm. The women's section was filled with older women and very young children who did not have anything to eat for hours except for 1 samosa at the beginning of the event. The leadership refused to give anyone food early and when food was served would only give each woman a very small portion. Considering how much funding they raised for their new school, I am baffled by how they treated us. When I went to the men's section to get my family, I saw that the men had much more food than the women and they were NOT restricted by how much food they can take. So sexism clearly is prevalent at this school too. Please do better to your community.
