    I called and placed an order for a Giant mountain bike. The person who ordered my bike over the phone was super nice and helpful. She told me when my bike was ready the staff would make sure the bike fit and would give me some test pedals to try the bike in the parking lot. When I showed up to pick up the bike there were two (what appeared to be) high school age boys eating cheese burgers behind the cash register. Eventually they put down their food on the register and asked me if I needed help. I told them I was there to pick up the bike and after some looking they brought out the bike. The younger one asked my weight and then started to adjust the suspension of the bike. I tried asking him questions about the bike and how to adjust the suspension at home. It became clear that he knew very little about the bike as he really could not say much about the bike. I realize my tone in this review is going to sound like I am a tough customer but I assure you I am a regular person of average intelligence. My questions were not difficult and yet they could not be answered. Once the suspension was "set up" he told me I was good to check out. He did not see if the bike was a good fit, did not ask if I wanted to try it out in the parking lot, did not ask if I needed anything. Only once I had my card out to pay did he suddenly remember to try and sell me a helmet, a suspension pump, a tire pump, a water bottle holder, and pedals. To me it felt like this was an opportunity to quickly add items to the sale and I did not feel valued at all. This was my first time buying a new bike and it was $2,500. I know that is not a lot of money in the grander scheme of things but for someone who is just getting started in mountain biking it was a lot. So I left with a bike without pedals, helmet, water bottle holder, both pumps, and anything else I needed. I would not recommend Landry's to anyone who wanted real support. I would recommend going to Steve the bike guy in Sherborn.
