When doing pre purchase inspections we test the mechanical and safety systems to see if the vehicle will pass Massachusetts state inspection; in this case all checked out. This car was by all means safe ready for the road. We are not an auto body shop, but does not take a professional to see this car could have been involved in a fender bender before, noting that the trunk liner was tweaked. No big deal, Very common, must have gotten a new bumper cover. The dealer this person purchased the car from did not disclose it was labeled as structural damage on title; so they can get full asking price for the car. The bumper cover hides the frame damage done to the quarters. The car was announced at auction per the auto check; you don’t have access to unless paid for or is being run at an auction. Which can decreas its trade in value to another dealer. We did not tell this person that he should or shouldn’t buy this car, or even what it’s worth; Simply that it was safe, reliable, drivable car that is ready for the road. This person should be upset with the dealer that ripped them off with this purchase. Must be mistaken for the services we provide here.(This vehicle inspection we provided happened over 5 years ago).
