        The kind man at the register explained to me that everyone who pays with a credit card, is shown a screen for tipping. This is a function of how the system operates. You do need to make a selection (there is a no tip option) at that screen for it to proceed to payment. Highlighting your attention to this screen is not them begging for tips, but merely a way to facilitate the whole payment process being done in a timely manner. As most people have not acclimated to the new system, which is a couple months old. One might stand there, phone in hand covering the screen on the credit terminal, expecting the Apple Pay to work.
