They mistakenly delivered oil to my tank, leaving my neighbors in the cold. Upon realizing their mistake the woman who typically answers the phone proceeded to call me daily seeking payment. She then blamed the driver, who was simply dispatched to the address SHE provided, as evidenced by the copy of the receipt left on my porch and a conversation between my neighbor and the driver. After several minutes and methods of explaining that I'm under no obligation to pay for their mistake she again insisted that I pay as I would need to order oil eventually. True, but completely irrelevant and bordering on a threat. I told them I'd pay when I get around to it, as this woman clearly wasn't planning to leave me alone, but they'll never see another penny from me. EDIT Nov 2021: The woman, whose name is Mary, called again seeking payment. The same conversation was had. Mary got defensive, and quite rude, when I pointed out that as the mistake was hers so too was the responsibility. I understand that mistakes get made, but when you lie about it, blame an innocent party, refuse to take any responsibility, and harass your customers through unsolicited phone calls at 8:30am you lose any benefit of the doubt. She ended her tirade by stating that I'd need to find a new oil provider and hanging up. On that we agree. To call her, and by extension the company, unprofessional would be putting it lightly.
