Slow River Studio

I have been an artist all my life. However sometimes life takes a turn and our attention and focus is needed elsewhere. Now is my time Slow River has supported me in this journey. The instructions are supportive and inspiring. The people that teach as well as the people who gather to learn are amazing! The classes encompass many variations of art, and we are encouraged to explore. Everyone is at a different stage in their art, yet we all enjoy each others camaraderie. For me Slow River has entered my life at exactly the right time.

I dont have enough words to say how wonderful this studio is. Jess and her staff have created a nurturing, relaxing, supportive environment for those who wish to explore their artistic creativity. I took 5 classes in 2023 and look forward to doing an Abstract painting class at the beginning of January. Engaging with this community has given me a new lease on life and I literally look at the world a bit differently now. And dont feel that you need artistic experience to join a class. I still cannot draw a straight line, but it doesnt matter. The instructors will gently guide you through each course with patience and kindness and tap into skills that you didnt even know you had. I recommend Slow River Studio with much enthusiasm and love.

I've been a student @Slow River Studio for 2 years and LOVE every class! Jess Yurwitz is an amazing person and teacher. Observing other class instructors supports the quality of all artist education and FUN! Classmates are supportive of each other's skill development and are genuinely nice. Love this studio!

I signed up for a Creative Kickstart class on a whim and haven't looked back. The instructors at this studio are top-notch - talented, kind, patient, practiced. They make me feel so welcome and comfortable asking even silly questions as a complete beginner. I'm creating art that I never imagined I could! My journey has been so rewarding thanks in no small part to Slow River Studio, it's no wonder they have so many returning students. Highly recommend.
