We lived in Windsor Village for a year. When our lease term was completed, they charged us for random expenses. We asked them to provide us with a breakdown of the pending balance, but they refused to do so. Instead, they had an agency contact us. After investigating, we discovered that we were being charged for two extra days of rent after we had already vacated the property on the last day of our lease. Moreover, we were being charged for electricity under National Grid, despite having accounts with Eversource. These additional charges were unjustified and made us feel cheated. Complete cheaters, stay away!!

My experience as a tenant with Windsor Village has been disappointing for several reasons: Lease 1. Exorbitant Penalties: Upon lease termination, I was shocked to discover a penalty of two months rent, an unfair and excessive charge that left me feeling exploited. 2. Unreasonable Rent Increase: The lease renewal brought an unjustifiable hike from $2,590 to $2,936 (up 13%), despite the market rate being significantly lower at $2,600. This exploitative practice lacks transparency and fairness. 3. Unfair Rent Payment Schedule: Rent is due on the 30th of each month, yet the lease ends on the 22nd, enabling the management to inflate charges for the remaining days, resulting in an astronomical total if one opts out of the lease. 4. High Sublet Fee: While subletting is permitted, the management imposes a steep fee of $1,500, adding another financial burden to tenants already struggling with inflated costs. 5. Payment Portal Glitch: A glitch in the payment portal resulted in a double charge. Despite bringing this to the attention of the landlord and providing evidence from my bank statement, they refused to take responsibility or issue a refund for the extra payment, leaving me to rectify the error on my own. Unit & Management 1. Exorbitant Utility Costs: The installation quality of the unit is abysmal, leading to exorbitant gas fees ranging from $150 to $200 during the winter months (October to April). This excessive expense adds undue financial strain to tenants already struggling with high living costs. 2. High Electricity Bills: Despite being away for some months and ensuring all appliances are turned off, electricity bills consistently exceed $80. This suggests inefficiencies within the units electrical systems, further burdening tenants with unjustified expenses. 3. Neglected Property Maintenance: Outside the unit, there have been instances of dead animals, which, despite multiple requests, the management has been sluggish and negligent in removing promptly. This neglect not only creates unsanitary conditions but also reflects poorly on the managements commitment to tenant satisfaction and property upkeep. 4. Unauthorized Entry and Lack of Communication: Maintenance personnel have entered the unit without authorization, leading to distressing experiences for tenants, including myself, who have felt violated and insecure. Despite filing complaints, the management has failed to provide updates or address these breaches of privacy and security adequately. 5. Poor Management Practices: Furthermore, the managements communication leaves much to be desired. I have received multiple emails intended for other tenants, raising concerns about client confidentiality and the managements ability to handle sensitive information competently. Overall, my tenure with Windsor Village has been marred by a multitude of issues, ranging from financial burdens to safety and privacy concerns. I strongly caution prospective tenants against renting from this entity and urge them to explore alternative housing options to avoid similar frustrations and disappointments.

BE CAREFUL BEFORE LEASING HERE. Loud noise from upstairs...There is constant noise from tenants above you .it starts early morning n goes on for whole day till late night I didn't have sound sleep and its terrible experience.. ONLY good thing here is maintaince staff.. Review in Mid march 2024: I will rate work done by Brandon as ye managed to follow up continuously for mice problem. He also suggested to put a partition behind door so mice doesn't enter place. They are doing this job more better way than pest control teams. review on 10th march 2024 timeframe: RAT / MICE PROBLEM..this is 5th mice which is caught from my apartment and there wasnt any pest control or immediate action taken to get rid of it.. Its terrible issue and really not paying for this. I have just moved few days back and my experience is not that great..None of sockets near door were working.. lights near door were tripped. Shower cap was broken.Garbage trash was making loud noise.Dryer has not been working as expected..BIGGEST issue is there were mice in house. After making complaints they put mice traps which caught few rats. I was wondering why dont they give u place after deep cleaning, checking and pest control done already. Also, mice issue is terrible and not safe n hygenic. There is lot of noise from tenants living above us(till late nights) .I heard lot about this place but unfortunately it didn't match my expectations n welcome itself was terrible. On suggestions, they dont have anything to help you with moving stuff like having trolleys. No lights in bedroom not even in closets and don't understand why. Most pathways have dog poops. Good thing is locality is nice with many shops around. Maintainance team is prompt.I am still hoping that my stay here is good without any bad experience further.

I wish I could give them 0 stars, they suck at maintenance services, very slow though the team is good, the AC was not good not working and still the bill was above $200, also their water sewer bill is fake the water sewer for 3 bed house came upto $300 for a month that is rediculous and when we ask them for meter measurements they do not have it. They are just vultures trying to take money from you. Think before you go there to stay.

Gloria, thank you for sharing your review as a former resident. It seems there is a misunderstanding about what occurred during the moveout process. No additional days were charged, but a balance was left when one of the roommates did not pay in full. We suggest reaching out to your roommates for additional information that should address your concern. Regarding utilities, prior to move-in, we provide residents with information about the utility companies we work with. Our team does not receive information on utility bills. Please raise any concerns directly with your utility companies. If you have any further questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Menka, thank you for reaching out to us. We aim to create a peaceful and enjoyable living environment for our residents to call home, and we are sorry if you have experienced anything to the contrary. We have spoken to both of your neighbors about the noise you describe and are currently trying to identify the source. As you can imagine, monitoring noise in a community with shared walls can be challenging, which is why we encourage residents to communicate with each other in an effort to keep the peace. Your observations about different areas of the community that may require some attention have been noted, and we will look into them at our earliest opportunity. In the meantime, please get in touch with us at [email protected] to discuss your review in more detail. We appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Surbhi, thank you for reaching out to us with your feedback. We strive to provide a convenient and comfortable living environment for each of our residents, and we are sorry if the goal was not reflected in your experience. Reviewing our records, we noticed that work orders about your air conditioning were addressed as soon as we were notified of any concerns. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your feedback in more detail, we invite you to contact us directly at [email protected]. We appreciate your time and wish you well in your new home.
