Before coming here I was suffering with a lot of issues when it comes to eating disorders. Unfortunately, according to my mom, you'll find a lot of negative reviews here but take them at the grain of salt because a lot of the time they aren't posted by people who wanted to improve their life. In order to succeed you need to buy into the beliefs and you need to work towards the goal of self-improvement. If you don't do that then this won't work and a lot of the negative reviews are from people who did not buy into it and that's their choice but be careful the reviews you read and the reviews you believe because this is a great place with great people.

I had a really great experience in the Free To Be program. It was helpful that it was totally remote so I could do the program from home. I learned a lot of tools that have been helpful in my eating disorder recovery journey. The clinicians and dieticians were very nice and helpful. They were also very inclusive and provided a very safe and welcoming environment. I highly recommend!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Back in 2018 I went to the (now shut down) psychiatric wing of this care center. I was right next to the eating disorder ward and I would often meet kids that were there even had one as a roommate. Another review mentions how when you're there you hear kids banging their heads against the wall to be honest I was definitely one of those kids. I was suffering horribly but this hospital gave me even more trauma that I had to deal with years after I was discharged. There were times I thought I had died and gone to hell. Certain mental health professionals would talk badly about you right in front of your face as if we don't have ears. Some of them treat us like we never went to high school or college like worthless riffraff. Had no phone and wasn't let outdoors for three weeks. They would put you in restraints as punishment if you did something they didn't like. Even years after it makes me sick thinking about this place. Come here if you want new traumatic experiences to heal from!

some of the MHCs are amazing. others, however, are simply in the job for the paycheck. i was in the IOP program for about 3 months via zoom. the clinican told my care team to not allow me to visit friends, or have my phone or comfort items if i didnt easily gain weight/comply with treatment. i got sick during a breakfast call, and the clinican on duty tried to make me finish the food i had just gotten sick on top of and wanted me to show it to the other group members. this same clinician picked on an 11 year old girl on her first day of treatment for not participating in the group filled of teenagers, as if it isnt overwhelming enough. not to mention i was discharged without any reasoning and refused to be given any outside resources. i would not recommend. a few staff members genuinely care, but for the most part, this is a business for profit gain. not to help people recover.
