Competitive estimate but superior explanation of work before/during. Great crew finished retaining wall along 75ft driveway with exceptional results. They showed up early and finished project on time. Highly recommended!!

Stefan came for estimate the next day and gave an honest and reasonable price. Did a really nice job on our backyard patio. Would recommend to anyone. Sean

Stefano and his company rebuilt the base of the chimney on my 1935 house. Water was leaking into the fireplace in my basement office. During heavy rains and I would need to bail the hearth to avoid water damaging the rug and wood floor. Stefano was one of 4 masons that I interviewed. Stefano clearly understood the problem (not all did) and created a high quality solution. He excavated the ground abutting the chimney and discovered that the chimney was resting on stacked natural stone. He filled and covered the stone with concrete, covered the structure with tar and a moisture preventative fabric. He also repaired the loose mortar that had fallen out of the chimney. His work and thoroughness were of the highest quality.

The owner Stefano build us exterior stairs and a landing. He was supposed to build 3 steps (4 risers) and a landing 3 by 3, ( this all was agreed in detail in writing (we even build a small model for him) and we also paid accordingly. Initially he also said the work would take 3-4 days, but they were here only 2 days. The job started great, and we occasionally checked how it was going. He always said all is going according to our plan. Then when it was too late, he revealed what he was building: 2 steps, 3 risers, and a landing of wrong size. He decided not to dig deep enough to fit 3 steps. Instead he took a shortcut ( leaving out a step and a riser and making the landing bigger). To make this up he did some minor skim coating that we could have done easily ourselves. He stressed how knowledgeable and honest he is (after all, he has been doing this for a long time) and we do not know a lot about masonry making our opinion irrelevant. This totally ruined our plan for our future walkway and patio. Now we have to cut the landing smaller and build a step and riser (more challenging now, of course). And as a bonus they put empty cement bags and other trash in our recycling bin leaving behind a huge mess (everything was covered in cement dust). Obviously we would not recommend them to anyone anymore. Edit: We have decided to take this issue to the small claims court, let them decide who is telling the truth. Even the photo he posted proves that he didnt do what was agreed in writing (the contract). By the way, the photo was taken without our permission from the private area of our yard and posted also without our consent. We also have videos and photos of the mess they left, and of everything else. And if one feels that the customer/job is not a good fit for them, just dont take the job.
