My partner and I were moving from out-of-state and we worked with Pat Murphy to secure our new apartment. She is incredibly professional, friendly, and stood out amongst the other realtors we had been in contact with. She answered all our questions and it is clear that Pat is extremely knowledgeable on the properties and places she is renting, and has even provided recommendations for places to go and things to do (which is amazing for us as we are unfamiliar with the area)! Everything - from the price breakdown, the lease, meeting times - were extremely clear and well communicated. If I am looking to move in the future, Charles River and Pat will be my first contact. I am thoroughly impressed with my experience and highly recommend them!

Mari Morgen was on the recommended realtors list provided by my fellowship program at Harvard. I had to find a place to live before I arrived in Boston, so I trusted their judgement. However, I deeply regret the decision to work with Mari. She represents the interests of the landlord only, and she has little regard for the interests of tenants. Some examples (theres not enough space to share all of them): I paid the $2600 broker fee promptly and it took her over a month to send me the lease. I did not get to read the lease before I sent the funds. She has tenants sign electronically but she has the landlord sign using paper and you dont get the fully signed lease until you move in. She doesnt text and she spends more time talking about that than helping you with apartment matters. Today 8/30/23 I went to get the keys and the apartment had several maintenance issues, the walls were in need of paint, the space behind the oven looked as if it hadnt been cleaned in years, and the space wasnt professionally cleaned as had been promised. When I asked her to schedule a showing she took 3 days to do so and gave me only one time option and then she was late to the showing and got mad at me that I entered the. Holding without her and hung up on me before I could explain that. Then today, a week later at the keys pickup, she acted like that never happened. She makes excuse after excuse and doesnt change her behavior effectively taking advantage of vulnerable position of the renter who has trusted her and paid her a lot of money to do her job. Theres more I could say but you get the idea. Dont be like me: avoid Mari at all costs. She is unprofessional and does her job poorly.

Very professional. I worked with Pat and she was very helpful and patient with me. I was coming from outside the country and I was able to work with her to secure an apartment despite my unique circumstances. Definitely recommend them if you are looking for a place in town.
