Dr. Haber seems to be a competent periodontist.  The problem is that his front office support is mean, rude, unprofessional, and disorganized.  Despite a year and a half process, they never explained a breakdown of costs.  They refused to diligently work with our insurance company, instead treating us like criminals for not paying cash after (yes, after, when unable to speak) the procedure.  Dr. Haber needs to find better people for the front desk.

Dr. Haber was highly recommended to us because of his diagnostic and procedural skills.  This was very true -- we have a very good result.  But even more remarkable is his truly outstanding "bedside" manner, his compassion, patience, and availability.  Working with a patient with severe anxiety issues, he supported, explained everything patiently, handled a stream of questions -- even had his staff accommodate an unusual phobia (the staff are all wonderful and supportive, too).  He let us know he was available 24/7 for any concerns, and backed that up when we had an anxious question.  I am a physician myself, and I have truly never seen a professional so naturally kind as well as skilled.
