Blue Hills Recovery Center went thru a lot of personnel changes in a short time. I can say if it werent for my case manager Michelle Misciocci I dont know where i would be. She gets 10 stars!! She helped me with access to so many key pieces needed in my program!! Also facilitator Rayne is amazing at leading groups that can be somewhat cumbersome. Lead Tech Will works tremendously hard at making sure the clients needs are met. Tech Ryan R and Nikki at housing does an amazing job at keeping clients needs a priority. Now- the program needs some new material- new thinking. Very very repetitive basic top line material. At housing- be prepared to STARVE if you have no source of income. The basics fruit, juice, eggs, milk and sometimes breads are hard to get or even out for days!! Hope the heat and hot water stay on also!! At first when I got to Blue Hills,The Director that was there, Arvid, seemed to have morale and employees excited to be there. Not so much anymore I have to give a solid shout out to my therapist Ashley and also to the nurse practitioner Kris whom really cared but her employment abruptly ended. Worcester needs programs for addicts and alcoholics but ones that have solid structure. Mark

Genuinely shocked that this place has yet to be shut down. To preface, admissions completely lied on the phone about housing, meals, insurance, sessions, phone calls; basically everything. I paid out-of-pocket because this is one of the only PHPs in MA with housing. The pictures of housing online are not legit!!! And there is no actual separation between genders. During my stay at housing in August 2023, there were multiple room searches and house meetings that targeted and punished the entire community instead of the guilty individuals. One of my personal belongings was once stolen from my room and the staff refused to check the cameras because it was an invasion of privacy. The conditions of the house were terrible, the toilet on the girls floor would frequently clog and/or leak and there was usually only 1 or 2 working showers. We didnt get the once a week outings they mention because we were constantly being punished for the actions of a few individuals. The groups consist of reading off a pamphlet, joking around, and letting people ramble on about whatever they want. I eventually discharged after 3 weeks because my team agreed I was actually regressing being there. Dont recommend blue hills to someone going into treatment for the first time or someone whos been a hundred times.

I am absolutely thrilled to share my experience with Blue Hills Recovery, where my daughter received treatment for substance abuse. From the moment we stepped through their doors, we were met with unparalleled professionalism and care. The medical detox provided a safe and comfortable environment for her transition, and the outpatient Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) was nothing short of transformative. The level of communication from the staff and leadership was truly remarkable. They not only addressed our concerns but went above and beyond to ensure that my daughter's needs were not only met but exceeded. Their attentiveness and respect towards her concerns made all the difference in her journey to recovery. Having experienced other treatment facilities in the past, I can confidently say that Blue Hills Recovery stands out as a beacon of excellence. The quality of care they provide is unmatched, and I am forever grateful for their role in saving my daughter's life and initiating the healing process within our family. I must extend my deepest gratitude to the administrative leadership, whose ability to assess the needs of both staff and patients is truly commendable. Their unwavering support sets the tone for the entire facility, fostering an environment of compassion and dedication to recovery. Thank you, Blue Hills Recovery, for being a guiding light on our path to healing.
