Blue Hills provides evidence-based treatment for mental health and substance use disorders. The staff who work day in and day out with clients go above and beyond to ensure everyone is safe, comfortable, and have all their needs met. The staff separate Blue Hills from other treatment provides.

I cant begin to express my gratitude for this program. The facilitators (Kelly and Rayne) are gold. They truly understand and make their groups safe places for everyone to start or continue on the healing journey whenever they are along the road. Also, the techs, case managers, and therapists at Blue Hills really made me feel heard and helped me throughout my time there. I have nothing but good things to say. If anyone is contemplating getting help for mental health or substance use, I highly recommend this program. They take patient advocacy seriously and want to ensure that each clients needs are met to the best of their ability, so speak up. Its your recovery. No one else will take this step for you, but there are great people there to walk with you along the way.

I was here back in April when staff and clients were not getting along, it was hard to express your concerns, as they didn't care to fix them. Now, being here in October - 6 months later, the ENTIRE staff has changed, it's much easier to approach clinical staff and know you're being heard, they go above and beyond to help us. The BHT supervisor, Willie does everything possible to make sure that the clients are comfortable, happy and doing good, all of the BHT staff members are much easier to speak with. Kelly and Rayne are the best group facilitators, they are the most genuine humble, respectful people and no matter what we know that they are there here for us. Housing is nice, beds are comfy if you're a smaller person lol sorry tall people! Overall, I am very happy with all of the changes made here. It's incredibly different and I am able to truly heal knowing the support system here is unmatched!!!

Overall poorly run dysfunctional facility. Case managers dont care about their job, and refuse to meet with clients. Groups are not conducive to mental health. Simply a waste of time to collect money from your insurance. Staff does not care about their jobs and will talk down to clients. At least half of the staff has left or has put in their 2 week notice. Extremely understaffed, unproductive, and unprofessional. No psychiatrist in this facility either, just a nurse practitioner. There is no phone number to call this facility. All calls go straight to the call center based out of Florida. Call center feeds you nothing but lies, talking up this facility as if it is some sort of resort. Was told by the call center that housing would be one bed per room with a personal kitchen in each room. Would have access to wifi, my phone, computer etc etc. that was a lie. Was told housing would have separate units for males and females(which is essential as some clients came here for sex addiction). That was a lie too. Was told we would have 3 NUTRITIOUS meals a day, all being catered. That was a huge lie. Housing is one tiny building that is rented in Leominster. 20 minutes away from Blue Hills in Worcester. Tiny rooms crammed with 3 beds per room. One tiny kitchen to be shared amongst 20+ clients. Breakfast and dinner are not catered. Clients are all forced to share and cook in that tiny kitchen. Lunch is catered and typically inedible, and/or fried food comparable to middle school cafeteria food. Overall awful living situation.
There are a few exceptions within staff. Josh is an excellent group facilitator. Rain seems to care about the clients. Kris the NP is great. The techs Will, JR, and Riane(female Ryan. I probably spelled her name wrong) are doing the best they can and I appreciate that they care. That is it.
Crystal(tech), Rich and Caroline(therapists), Kyla(case manager), Kelly(group facilitator) are all unbearable. Upper management is even worse. Do yourself a huge favor and dont come to this facility.

I received outstanding care from nearly all of the BHT's and Kelly DeVillers who led my section of the MH track (who I absolutely loved! shoutout from , Kelly, if you can see this!) Brittany and Stephanie were also incredible. Overall this place was phenomenal and completely would recommend to people especially complex trauma survivors, neurodiverse populations, the LGBTQIA+ community, all of which I belong to. I cannot speak for BIPOC folx because I am white and couldn't possibly give a good read of this that would be valid except as an ally and tbh this place was mostly white so I cannot give any comments in that respect whatsoever. This was a year ago that I left. Turnover is quick in these types of places. What I can say is that last year (spring 2022) I strongly disliked the psychiatric NP, I found her uninterested in honestly anything except mislabeling my diagnosis that was correct prior to arriving and has been re-corrected. (I have no idea if she is still there due to turnover however.) I saw a few very unprofessional staff members including a BHT and a group leader leave as well. However, I find it to be very encouraging that there were so few unprofessional people on staff and those were the people who were let go, and the amazing people stayed. It was incredible. Was NOT easy that is for sure but I put in the work and got more than I ever could have thought possible out of MH/complex trauma recovery. Shoutout y'all. -
