Sometimes, it's the first ones you seek which are the best - you get BLESSED. (I don't believe in luck!) It was a good discussion with the person with whom I spoke, explaining how they work. It was as he said. Our move from MA to TX seemed ominous, though it wasn't a full household, I (under) estimated the amount of Rubbermaid/Sterilite boxes and odd furniture, thinking maybe I wouldn't need 2 cubes. It became evident when we loaded 96 some boxes and misc items in Cube #1, that Cube #2 was going to be necessary. I was informed my cubes would arrive the scheduled Mar 4, and they did. It was a good thing I DID have help loading, amazing help and we completed the loading, with only a few extra items to be added along the way and at the end. The Cubes were definitely solid and workable, though one of the 4 door latches wouldn't drop down (or be forced down) into the slot securely, but I was able to lock the opposite door of the cube. (It arrived securely, though I wasn't even able to secure the latch on that door with the cube empty). I had to depart MA for TX Mar 6, and the cubes were supposed to be picked up that day. They were. (Picture below.) I was informed about every new location at the end of the day. They arrived on schedule, and I contacted the locale, why I had to wait a week and it was their schedule, that they didn't drive to the final destination except on Thursdays, WHICH THEY DID. My friends and I emptied the cubes the next day. I called to have the cubes picked up, which was supposed to have been Monday, Mar 25, but a flat bed maintenance issue prevented them being picked up then. (This would have been great had I needed the extra time, which they were going to give me anyway.) At this writing, the cubes still haven't been picked up (ETA today, Mar 28). The boxes were stacked 6 high and some of the boxes and lids were damaged, but the contents were not, except for a few lightbulbs in one of the boxes, but most of them survived, despite the appearance of some smashed boxes. Nearly all of the RUBBERMAID boxes survived the trip and the weight of the other boxes on them. (Good learning experience on packing). Wasn't the fault of UPACK, just my inexperience with such. But EVERYTHING up to this point was JUST AS THEY TOLD ME. The price was as quoted with no extra fees. I'm so pleased with them and have already recommended their services to others - the ones who helped me. THEY were impressed too.

Hired UPack when we moved our home from Canada to US. Very professional and efficient operating business. Handled all the documents and paperwork electronically including paperwork for crossing the border. And responding to phone calls timely. Recommend to anyone moving home cross the U.S. Canada boarder.

I shopped around quite a bit and found AFB U-Pack to be highly recommended and the best price of any pod-type delivery companies. Before the move they were instrumental in helping me figure out the scheduling of our long distance move. I had the dimensions of the cube, and a pile of boxes that I thought would fill the cube. When it was delivered it looked smaller than I anticipated. BOY WAS I WRONG! We loaded our huge pile of belongings and it was only half full! Since it was only a partial preliminary move we were able to add more items to the cube and bring much more. (It ended up holding about 50 boxes, mostly banana boxes, 12" x 12" x12" cube boxes, some small furniture, a portable chiropractic table, a massage table, 3 folding tables, 8 folding chairs as well as quite a few art prints) Both the drivers who dropped off the cube and the one who delivered the cube were experts with the forklift. They took extra care in the placement and removal. They were personable and professional. once we emptied it, I went online to request a pickup. They came promptly the next day and retrieved it. Not one thing arrived broken or damaged though there was plenty of china, glassware and large picture frames with glass.. (I am an excellent packer so I'll take partial credit for that.) Everything was done in a timely manner with no delays or surprises. When we complete the move in the near future we will definitely book another cube with U-Pack from ABF Freight.
