Provision Living at Canton

Very high turnover with employees. The current Director of Nursing is irresponsible and unorganized. Shes hard to reach never answers her phone (especially Sundays) and shes just not professional. The DON doesnt seem to have the knowledge or skill set to do what she was hired to do. The staff is ok but you can tell their very overworked and under paid. The food is horrible the kitchen is not cleaned very well and theres at least a different chef every other month. Please reconsider bringing your loved one here. Beautiful facility but its going down hill fast.

Constant overturn of staff, including the Director, the nurse/LPN, the resident assts, med techs, and chefs. in addition, the transitions between Directors is faulty. Beware of billing issues, or having the level of care being suddenly changed w/o giving 30 days notice/which is against contract rules. In hindsight, I would recommend you continue looking for a better facility if you want your loved one to receive quality care My solution to the problem, ultimately, was to move my loved one to "Plymouth Terrace" in Plymouth. There I found a Director/ administrator who is an RN, and she has nurses on staff 24/7. They administer all meds, instead of having med techs with minimal training performing the task. She has acceptable care ratio's of 1:8 versus one RA trying to get 30 residents up in the am. And she has a wonderful kitchen staff who have been on board for years/not a few wks. The foods and menus are excellent. All that, and we got a monthly rate over $2000 less than we were paying at Provision!

Even though Mom was only here a short time the staff was wonderful and helpful. The Staff is loving and caring and took phenomenal care of her. The building is well kept and I have nothing but good things to say about everyone I/she had interacted with.
