Update: NOBODY has ever reached out to me since I was last there or since I posted my original review above. Instead, they asked a family member who also goes there for laser to ask me to take this review down and that they are so sorry. There are more details I will leave out that they shared with my family member. I wish they wouldve left my family member out of it, thats very unprofessional. Im very disappointed. The owner has responded to everyone elses positive reviews. PRO TIP: If you can spare a little extra drive time, PLEASE go to the NOVI LIGHTRX everyone there is AMAZING and they take wonderful care of me. They send reminder texts before every appointment and always answer my texts. I will never go anywhere else now. - I have been going to the Canton LightRx for approximately 6-7 sessions of laser hair removal for upper lip. This is probably one of the cheapest services they offer, and my expectations were not high. This has been my first experience of getting laser hair removal, and everything was great at first. There were 2 documented occasions of this location cancelling my appointments (in a row), and I understand being short staffed, but now I'm wondering if the length in between those appointments had disrupted the progress and caused more pain/sensitivity as well as causing me to need another appointment. I never received resolution, just the receptionist at this location telling me she will make sure I'm not cancelled on again, which is not logical because that's not up to her. I'll chalk that up to, "Can't please everyone." At one time, I got a text saying my appointment time was some other time than what I had scheduled it for, and I brushed it off thinking it was possible I made the mistake; I could still make it to the appointment, so I called to confirm the text was correct because it conflicted with what I had documented, and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Today, 6/22/2021, I got a text reminding me of the appointment I made for tomorrow at 6pm, but the text says 5:30pm instead. This was my last bit of patience for this location, as I value my time and will not go anywhere where my time is not respected, even if I have a prepaid package/appointment. There's no way I would have scheduled a time that conflicted with my work schedule, and it matches both of my other calendars too. Hmm. The only times I've received a "reminder" text is when they've changed my appointment without telling me. Now, after the second occurrence, it is clear to me that this location lacks in communication and/or training, maybe even basic consideration. It's common sense that people have work or prior obligations, and a 30 minute time difference is not a 5-10 minute traffic delay; time is money for everyone involved. I felt that my time has been disrespected by some of the workers at this location. If I would have known they needed me to reschedule, I would have... given a need to reschedule notice at the least. On the bright side, this laser has given me some results and reduced some hair growth, so I purchased a Groupon to get another area done. I cancelled my appointment at Canton that was supposed to be for tomorrow, obviously, and will be trying out the Novi location to give this company another chance. They keep their locations clean, and everyone has been so helpful and polite on the phone and in person. A couple of the technicians at the Canton location have been SOOOO welcoming and sweet, and I greatly appreciate that. My last thought this evening is perhaps the reason I have been "looked over" is because I have purchased a smaller service; maybe they think I don't have a lot of income and am not important as some of their clients who use other services... I'd love some resolution.

I wish I could give at least two stars since the staff was nice, but my experience with their actual treatments earns a zero. I had zero positive improvement in my scarring after paying $900 (which is supposedly a discounted price). None. After asking to see my before photo to see if maybe I just wasnt seeing it, they said they couldnt find it because they just have a huge file with everyones photos in it instead of including each persons photo in their individual file, which already made me pretty uncomfortable. Was told I would receive a call when it was found. This was months ago, and I still havent heard anything. I had to take a break between some of the sessions due to cancer and other health issues and was told this was the supposed reason for no improvement (was not told that breaks would change the outcome before starting treatments). However, they put the laser on as high as it could possibly go each time after I asked them to. Even spacing out sessions, I should see at least a minute improvement after completing the treatment. Unfortunately, I cant recommend the services at LightRX. I should notice at least a two percent improvement after spending almost a thousand dollars and completing the services. Feels like it was all flushed down the toilet. Dont make the same mistake I did; Im still so disappointed that I fell for this. Any reputable business with a customer who is completely unsatisfied offers the customer a refund; they didnt offer me ANYTHING other than a false promise to see the photos and a false promise that there would be at least a minuscule improvement. I really cant even describe how disgusted I am with this experience.
