Dr. Merkel is incredibly attentive, patient and kind. He takes the time to answer all my questions in a way I can understand. He is very passionate about his work and it shows. Very thankful I found him and to have him as my OB during my first pregnancy!

Im so happy to have found Dr. Merkel. Not only is he beyond knowledgeable, kind, caring, helpful, he makes you feel comfortable and safe. I will continue to recommend friends and family to Dr. Merkel. I have no negative words to say. If I could give 10 stars I would! Thank you for all you do, Dr. Merkel!

If you are looking for the best OB/GYN, Dr Merkel is the dr to see!! I've been his patient over 9yrs. Both of my daughters see him. My daughters referred their friends. I am beyond grateful & thankful. Over the past 8yrs, I have seen multiple surgeons who said I was too high of risk to fix my insides. Dr. Merkel is taking on that risk regardless of what other surgeon said. He said he became a ob/gyn to help his patients & he wants to help me!!!

Dr.Merkel is hands down awesome. I had a late in life pregnancy that put me at high risk. The first Dr I had seen was very rude and dismissive of my concerns. After that experience I started seeing Dr Merkel at IHA in Canton. He was awesome reassuring me encouraging me. I was 47 and pregnant and scared. We ended up losing our Baby and again Dr Merkel was right there as If he had lost his own baby. Not only did we lose the baby but I needed a D&C to remove the baby which again was traumatic to me. But he was there explaining everything before surgery comforting. In the process of weekly appointments with Dr Merkel we began to talk about my daughter in law who had lost 3 babies. She was broken emotionally Dr Merkel told me to have her call and set up an appointment. My son and his wife now have 3 successful pregnancies and 3 healthy Children she had a blood disorder that caused her blood to clot during pregnancy that cut off nutrients to the baby and they would not be able to thrive. All she needed was to be on blood thinners during her pregnancies. Last week I ended up in the ER testing done that day showed possible uterine Cancer I am now 56 yrs old the ER doc said who do you want to see, and I said Dr. Merkel. Had a biopsy yesterday was it pleasant No But I knew that my Dr cared I knew God had provided the best care for me. I get my biopsy results today and either way I have the best Dr and I have a Big God.
