My team and I took the Essentials class. Some had experience with SolidWorks and others (like me) were completely new to it. All benefited greatly from the class. Rather than simply a book lecture of commands and functions, the instructor's goal was to make us "good SolidWorks users". Of course we covered course material, learning commands and functions, however, the instructor emphasized proper technique from designer standpoint - he called this modeling with "Design Intent". Experienced users learned new and proper ways of designing and were made aware of bad technique and habits learned along the way. New users learned proper technique and design. Instructor was an experienced user/designer and focused on teaching "the way he does it" - always valuable to those learning anything. Highly recommend the class and James Ortiz, the instructor.

James Ortiz is a Great Instructor, he is very knowledgeable about Solidworks and explains it well and detailed easy enough for a beginner to learn the software and navigate through. I would definitely recommend him.
