Montway Auto Transport

I used Montway to get my daughter's new car from an out of state dealer to our home. There were some timing issues with coordinating the pickup while the paperwork was being finalized and one driver showed up a day earlier than was on the order and had to leave because the car couldn't be released until the paperwork cleared. Montway got another driver assigned and from there things went smoothly. I've never shipped a car before so this was all new to me, and this was my daughter's first car purchase, so I wanted to be sure everything went perfect. The status emails were helpful and enabled me to stay in contact with the carrier / driver who was bringing her car. The driver was friendly and courteous and seemed to take good care of her car. There were some language barriers but we worked through those. Overall it was a great experience and I would use Montway again. I got quotes from a couple of brokers and their rates were very competitive.

We had a horrible experience with them just a couple weeks ago. People don't realize Montway is a broker, not the company that actually transports the car. They put the job on a load board and take a huge cut of the cost. We ended up canceling after two drivers accepted the job and then declined later. (Car was not drivable and Montway knew that because it was written on the quote.) They refused to refund all the money (even though we shouldn't have even been charged yet.) They didn't follow their own policy regarding a refund. And they didn't respond to my email or my son's when we questioned them about the refund. My son is currently disputing the charge with his bank. I know a lot of people have had good experiences with Montway, but not us. I will continue to make sure people are aware of the way they do business.

SCAM COMPANY... they charged me anyway after unable to secure a pickup date and driver info by the time they agreed to, so I went with a different company and CHARGED ME THE FULL SHIPPMENT ANYWAY!!!! I had to wait for my bank to handle it and it ruined the whole trip. The guy on the phone had a horrible attitude. My father also used them for his auto shop but stopped after that incident. We are suing them. He also had to deal with bad attitudes and was surprised he still did business with them (until they stole frome me). PLEASE Find a company that doesn't pay for fake 5 star reviews. Any company that only has 1 star reviews and 5 star reviews but nothing in-between.... is a 1 star company... paying for 5 stars so they don't go out of business. They tricked us.

My car was picked up 2 days after the time window given. I had zero communication from the transporter the entire time. Then I get a call that my car was left IN THE STREET in front of my house (not in the driveway) and the guys wanted to be paid. I said, "I'm not there to even make sure the car is at my house." And he sent a bad photo. ZERO COMMUNICATION. If he had given me any indication of when he was coming I could have made sure someone was home. Now the car is left in a place where I will probably get a ticket from the city by the time I get home from work. There was no apology, no arrival updates when things were days behind schedule - this was a nightmare start to bloody finish. And super expensive.
