        I've purchased my bags of salt from American Water for a couple years. I started having trouble with my old water softener that is probably the original when the house was built in the late 80s. I mentioned to them one day last year while I was purchasing salt. They offered to take a look at my system and were out the same day. The Technician spent about an hour looking at my old water softener and provided an estimated cost of repair and told me how much a new system would be. He even adjusted my water softener and explained everything about how they work and how to maintain and didn't charge me. I didn't feel any sales pressure to make a decision. In fact, I postponed my decision until a fee days ago. Today they installed a new water softener. Jason was very helpful and answered all my questions and he an Neil did a great job with the installation! I would recommend American Water to anyone!
