    Just read the other reviews and take them seriously. Please do not buy from Sharper Image. They have refused to refund me over $700, including more than $300 worth of an item they double shipped and charged me. I never ordered 2 units. When I saw whawhat they did,I sent everything back. They now have their goods and my $700.

    Company is bankrupt and it is clear why. They sell used items as new and will not accept the return. Their customer service dept does not answer the phone or return calls. Don't buy from them or you too will get stuck.

    I have been an avid fan of this site since their launch, and have loved their products. Now, this company has become despicable. i ordered an item for close to $700.00. at checkout they informed me that shipping was going to be 65.00 seemed a bit steep, but i agreed to pay it. i finished the transaction, they charged my credit card, and then took my money, and sent me a confirmation and delivery date. two days later i get an email from them that they had reconsidered this shipment and wanted an additional $450.00 for shipping! Ultimately, this means they lied, tried a bait and switch, falsely advertised, broke a signed and sealed contracted deal, and then tried to strong arm me into paying several hundred percent over the agreed upon price. i am horrified, will never shop here again, and will present this issue to every consumer advisory and advocate group i can find. i am also looking into a BBB complaint, if anyone else has had similar issues please reach out to me. i believe that this is ultimately illegal, and it needs to be brought to light and people need to be warned. i will NEVER shop here again, and all other buyers should steer clear of this corrupt company!..

    Like a previous reviewer, I should have done my research sooner. I didn't look up the company until I had an issue with my second order after already having an unresolved issue with my first purchase. I'm not sure why they put all these offers on the table (free shipping, using your cashback bonus, a percentage discount, and a "complimentary" $25 gift card if, as the Customer Service person replied to me: "Thank you for contacting Sharper Image. At this time, there may only be one promotional offer applied per order, however, you may choose the promotional offer that provides the greatest savings." If that information is even given (and I couldn't find it), they hide it really well. I was applying a $40 cashback bonus and they credited $39.80. Really??!! Compared to other merchandisers, the cashback bonus is not considered a "promotional offer" but rather it is a form of payment so I was at least was expecting the advertised free shipping. Also with other merchandisers, during the order and checkout procedures, if an offer does not apply, a warning pops up so that you can make the decision as to whether or not you would like to continue with the order. Not with Sharper Image. They also give you no indication as to delivery date so I took my chances and unfortunately, my order will not arrive before Christmas. After my second issue, I checked the reviews--unfortunately, too late for my purposes. Both of my orders are electronic. Based on other reviews I've read, I'm now concerned that they may not work. Please take this review seriously (and note that they are not Better Business Bureau accredited) and save yourself some grief (and money) by ordering elsewhere.

    Worst customer service ever! Ordered a massager for my father, who is a disabled veteran. I ordered it on time to be delivered before Christmas to give him something to open, as he lives alone in a remote area. The product came exposed so he could see what it was, no protective bag or box, sat in the rain all day and when he finally saw it on the porch, brought it in to open it, he had discovered it was a used item. They sent out a used massager seat - disgusting! I called customer service and she said it was unacceptable and they would sent out another to be received within 3-5 days. Then I get an email saying they need to receive the item back BEFORE sending another. He's 68 miles to the post office so I told them to arrange to pick it up, FedEx picked up 5 days before Christmas and the next day brought it back to his porch and left it sitting in 4 inches of snow getting rained on, again. They said it needs a shipping label on it, which he has never received. Their cheap, lazy, incompetence spoiled my father's Christmas, caused a huge inconvenience with multiple calls to their useless customer service reps, who have no logical decision authority. Now I have to call my credit hard to cancel payment. I will be returning all the other items I bought from them, and I will NEVER buy a Sharper Image product again! They do not deserve the 1 star review.
