This is a wonderful organization that introduces Jewish history to the local community through its tours, Nosh Gen events, and its Michigan Jewish History journal.

No organization makes me feel more connected to Detroit or my Jewish heritage than the JHSM!

I love the programming offered by the Jewish Historical Society of Michigan which includes Old Detroit adult and youth bus tours, a traveling Speakers Bureau and what they call NoshGen events that have taken place at the Belle Isle Aquarium and the Schvitz, among other interesting and fun venues. Membership is only $36 and comes with a copy of the annual Michigan Jewish History journal.
