Fremont Insurance Company

This company is a joke. The rates seem good but when you go to make a claim they are extremely unhelpful. I had a fire in my living room on my hardwood floor and the agent told me they were just going to swap out the bad part. Also told me that they require all damaged electronics back so they can donate them, even though it wasn't anywhere in the policy. Had to wait 3 days to get somewhere to live. Then after that had to find a place myself because they couldn't find one. Refused to repaint the kitchen cabinets but painted the rest of the house. Refused to replace the furniture in the room where the fire happened. I could go on and on and really wish 0 stars was an option.

I had a house fire caused by a plug in my bedroom. A fire investigation reported it was an accident and unavoidable. Fremont dropped my insurance without warning, sold it to a different company, and to top it all off they declared it was arson on their end. 100 percent false. I woke up because I MYSELF was on fire in my bedroom. There was almost no escaping it. After Fremont issued "their report of arson" of what happened; it is and has been almost impossible to get homeowners insurance again. You guys should be ashamed. Puting a 100 percent disabled veteran in this position . Tisk tisk..

Better than USAA but that isn't saying much. These guys are awful to deal with. I generally root for the little guy but these aren't folk worth rooting for
