"When building a new home, there are many considerations to take into account. We sought out a builder that didn't want to build us a house, we wanted a builder to build us our home. We met with several great builders in the area but ultimately chose to work with 56 West. 56 West followed through with the entire build process. It started with an initial consolation to develop a list of our must haves, our wants and what we didn't want. From there a budget was established, we met with a fantastic architect and broke ground. From ground breaking to move in, we were impressed that all 56 West owners, employees and subcontractors remained engaged and encouraged us to provide feedback. One thing to really consider when building a house is the quality of service after you move into your house. 56 West continues to provide high quality results after we moved into our home. Lisa, Joel and Dan address items quickly and thoroughly. Assistance with landscape ideas, bank documentation and who to call for TV/Internet/Electricity was greatly appreciated. This level of service doesn't show up on any financial statements but is extremely valuable. We truly believe that this is the final home and could not be happier with who we chose to build it. My husband and I loved working with 56 West while building our lakefront home in 2019. They are very positive, extremely talented, extraordinarily knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Weve built and remodeled several homes in Michigan and Florida. They are the gold standard of builders. I have recommended them many times to our friends and colleagues. After seeing the quality work completed at our home, they also chose 56 West Homes and Design to build their dream homes. The team at 56 West are very kind and considerate people. They worked well with our neighbors, the township, inspectors and with us. We would build with them again in a heartbeat! My husband and I really enjoyed working with them. Service: Home building

We have been more than patient dealing with this home builder. He clearly does not feel that the neighbors concerns should be taken into consideration when building a home. Last week, my dog fell into the home's foundation (2-3 foot drop) that was not fenced properly. We had requested a secure fence since the property line is so close to our home. Only when my dog fell in, was the fence securely put up. Parking behind our driveway by the workers has been consistent throughout, even when we have taken photos and told the homeowner and builder numerous times. The mailman (who will not deliver our mail with the truck parked in front of the mailbox) has told the workers as well. If this is an example of the attention to detail you can expect from this builder...I'd run.
