You know you're in good hands when you have a vacuum from here! My vacuum has lasted 6 years now with regular maintenance. You are also paying for his knowledge and skills when you come here. Very much worth the investment this is not someone who is going to sell you over priced garbage

Highly recommend this store. A gem off the beaten path. Don't just buy the cool colorful options you see in the big box store for high prices. Come here and you will find what you need and learn a lot about vacuums along the way. I stopped in today to look at some options for use in our home and church (where we have a LOT of carpet between floors and pews) and was so pleased with the service and skill Max displayed helping talk through some of my questions and walk me through the different models he had available. This guy is a craftsman who knows his field. He made sure I had the various accessories that would work and is willing to give tips and help you adjust vacuums to make them better to. We will be back again.

Best vacuum and sewing store/repair ever! I have a large family and several businesses. I have bought many vacuums over the years. So thankful I found Max and Mill Valley Vacuum & Sewing! Max is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about quality products and helping his customers. If you listen to him and ask his advise, he will never steer you wrong. He will give you the best service at a very fair price and keep all your machines running as best they can! Please support this wonderful and rare small business!!

No longer a customer. No longer a fan. I've frequented this place when it was located in Milford and at its location in Highland over the years. Usually for belts and 2 times for maintenance. It's been fine. When they were in Milford, our restaurant used their services and even provided the owner with free food to thank him. However, today I was told not to come back because the owner 'knows I will never buy a vacuum from him and he simply doesn't want to service my cheap vacuum or provide his $10 belts to me any longer'. I was shocked. As a community member and advocate for small businesses around the world, I've never heard of a small business owner turning down business. Even if it's just a small sale to a person from the area. I clarified, thinking he was joking. He was not. He simply would rather not provide belts to sustain the life of my vacuum because it means I'll never need one from him. So, I had purchased 2 belts, $8/ea when I first arrived. I told him that if he will no longer allow purchases of the belts and I need to go to Meijer or Walmart going forward, just refund me now so I can start that today. He did. Mostly. Not the exact return amount, but still. So, I drove to Meijer in White Lake and purchased 2 belts for $3.99 total. With an elitist attitude like that, I decided that I rarely leave negative or 1 star reviews, but this needs told. IF YOU JUST NEED BELTS OR OTHER, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. You decide where you would like to spend your money. I will not be going back here, even when I do need a vacuum. Interestingly, when I returned home and put my belt on, the motor smoked. So, I do need a vacuum after all!!
