Our time living at Redwood Delta Township was nice. We really enjoyed the unit and having our own garage was a nice perk. However, upon moving out, this experience has been soured. We received a damaged fridge upon move in and despite that being indicated on our move in sheet and providing proof of this, Redwood is charging us an additional fee on top of the deposit for damage that we did not do. Throughout the process of trying to reach a resolution, management has ignored our emails for up to 3+ weeks and has given us the runaround when they do contact us. After finally being able to speak with the regional manager, we were essentially told that there is nothing they can do and our proof was ignored. When we moved in, management was very helpful and visible in the community and went above and beyond for residents but unfortunately that cannot be said for the current management. Under the current manager, Shay, there was no community engagement and we received multiple emails with incorrect information about important dates. If you move in here, you need to document everything and be prepared for employees who will stop at nothing to protect corporate interests.

Couldnt agree more with what the previous person stated. Great retirement community. Not so much for someone who intends to purchase a house later on or anyone looking for flexibility after the initial lease term. I think the norm across rentals is once youve met first lease term, you generally get more flexibility with month to month or new term with adjustments for inflation with better options for lease breaks with notice. I mean who can get a new place right when their term ends? Almost no one can. Places like this are the source of corporate greed.

When we moved into Redwood 2 years ago, the management was great. The property manager was a very active part of the community and continuously went above and beyond for residents. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the current property manager Shay. When we moved in, we received a damaged fridge and were told by management that this was noted, but now were being charged for this upon move out. We provided the current management proof that we received a damaged fridge which led to a 2 month back and forth with Shay and eventually the regional manager. During those 2 months, our emails were ignored for 3+ weeks and both managers have completely ignored the proof that we provided. Redwood has been unwilling to work with us to reach a resolution on this issue and it has truly soured our otherwise enjoyable experience living here.

Living here is definitely a 5 star rating. Maintenance is great. They get to everything when you put in a request. The apartments are nice. However, it is good to know what you are getting into by living here. If you expect to be more month to month after your initial lease term, you are in for a rude awakening. There is so much lack of flexibility in the terms. After your term expires, you are presented with renew or you will essentially pay your existing rate plus $500 additional per month. Being loyal has no bearing in getting a better option. If you want to get out of the lease, requires 60 day notice and paying 1.5 times rent as a one time concession fee. There is no option of sublease or to pay rent until they find someone to take your spot even though they still advertise your apartment right when you put in your notice. That being said, all their stuff is 1 story built with a small 2 car garage. For me it was ideal for someone with a plan to eventually buy a house without having to move everything up stairs. The ideal person to live here is someone that plans to not move. More or less would be a good retirement community. If youre planning to be a future home owner or move out eventually, there is almost no way to do so without being gouged significantly. Buying a home could take 6 months or longer of looking all while getting gouged by redwood for their lack of flexibility in their rental agreements. You should be able get month to month for a year at the going fixed rental rate. Then they should be able to adjust month to month terms each year for inflation. Keep in mind I was told by previous admin staff that I could get out of my lease and they could look for a replacement and I would just pay for my lease until they found someone else. Was essentially lied to about this
