Rude front desk service, Privacy level 1 housekeeping just comes in without permission, cards always disable ,front desk closes at 9 and if cards disable for the room you have to call them and wait for them to answer had to clean our own room because it wasnt cleaned first floor is where the cleaning is mainly done

SCAM ALERT RESERVATION CANCELLATION Each year we work at an event in the Novi area which requires that we stay at a motel in the area. One year ago, our Booking service set us up with Extended Stay America and paid for a double bed room. We called a few days prior to confirm that our reservation awaited. Upon arrival of appointed day, we were told our double room reservation that we had already paid for wasn't showing on their system and that the only rooms available were singles. When we showed our proof of reservation, the woman gave us a dead stare and told us we were welcome to find another motel to stay at. We paid for the single room, even though we had already paid for the reservation, knowing we had been taken advantage of and there wasn't much we could do about it. I was frustrated, but felt it was an isolated incident. This year, same event, paid in advance for reservation, and, once again called to confirm. A woman on the line confirmed our reservation. Hopeful, but also a little apprehensive considering our experience the previous year, we arrived....... And was told our reservation had been cancelled. Once again. We insisted that WE certainly did not cancel it. Guess what, the clerk turned the computer screen around and showed us; "CANCELLED". "We have single rooms available." This time, once again, we paid for a single room. But getting charged two nights for a double, not getting it, and getting charged for two nights in a single was enough that we called our Booking agency "Expedia"....after extremely long holds and several calls to the front desk, the clerk finally admitted that the Manager must have "accidently" cancelled it. Expedia refunded our money, but the motel front desk is still in my opinion involved in some type of scam. Online inquiries suggest the rooms are rented for cash after the charges for the reservation clears, so the motel accounting stays positive while the scammer pockets the cash paid for the cancelled room. The unlucky traveller who uses a third party Booking agent is most vulnerable, but as my anecdote gives testimony that the Booking agency may give relief. But if such activity is unreported, others may fall victim. I publicly declare that these statements are true, my record of giving reviews should indicate my honesty and fairness. But this has now occurred on two separate occasions, one year apart, so I'm making this public and only hope upper management is made aware of this activity and conducts it's own investigation to protect it's reputation.

They do not even have coffee at this location. I got there late for check in after traveling, and no one was there. I was unaware that they have front desk hours ending at 10 pm as this is not normal for most hotels. They should definitely clarify these things as I would not have stayed here if I knew ahead of time. Food & drinks: Lack of accommodation

Been here for a few months & love the peace & quiet. The staff is wonderful. Jackie is always helpful & kind.
