This company provides in-home sink-side water quality testing. The representative (we had John) will test your water for pH, sediment, hardness, chlorine, soap efficiency and soap scum formation, and total dissolved solids content. The company offers a water purification and softening system that I am considering purchasing in the future. The in-home visit was pleasant and informative. City water is a little scary.

About 5 weeks ago we installed a whole house water purification system through Michigan Water Association. Weve watched Flint water problems the past few years, and the Macomb County sinkholes, as well as regular water main breaks in Detroit, as well as our home town, Berkley. I feel great relief using this purified, clean and safe water. It tastes so much better... and I didn't notice the taste before. I love the softness of the water, allowing me to use a lot less soap (laundry, dish, bath...). It also leaves the sinks and tub much cleaner. No more soap scum, created by the hard water minerals. I'm a psychologist, married to a nurse, so healthy, safe water is a priority for protecting our own health. The whole house system is reasonably priced, and the financing program offered made this a no-brainer decision. Its affordable. Water=life!! John Underwood is so helpful and responsive too! Bonus: he know all the best local Viet Namese restaurants, so we've been taking his advice on those and enjoy some wonderful meals out! Thanks Mi Water Assocs!
