    We used Encore Events Group for our wedding for lighting & ceremony drapery.Everything turned out perfect! I would recommend the City of Lights to anyone trying to add extra excitement to your  event. All employee's are so friendly and really go out of their way to work around your schedules.

    I could not be happier with EEG!! The decorations at my wedding looked absolutely beautiful! I was sooo happy and excited for my guests to see! Also, the city of lights is magical!! If you are considering getting it, just do it!!! It really transforms the lighting of the entire space, and its so FUN! Chris & Jahara were very professional and on time to set everything up. Both had great personalities and were very easy to work with! I would highly recommend them for your next event!

    We used Encore Event Group for draped fabric and bistro lighting for our wedding and reception at The Rattlesnake Club in Detroit. Our wedding was on July 11, 2015 and I initially made contact with Rob in December of 2014. I was planning a Detroit wedding from California, so it was really nice to be able to take care of inquiries and details via email. When I first contacted Rob, he called me within 24 hours. It was probably within 12 hours. If there is one thing that Rob and his team excels at, it is communication! After meeting with Rob in person in early January to discuss the look I was going for, we made a 50% up front payment. (You can use a credit card, but be advised, there is a 2-3% finance charge.)  I did not have any contact with Rob or his colleague Chris until late June, but I didn't need any.  Receptions at The Rattlesnake are held in a 6 story glass-ceiling atrium location in the Stroh River Place building. The space can feel a bit large and a bit like a hotel lobby, but with the addition of draping and bistro lighting, the space (although still unique) feels much smaller and more romantic.About two weeks prior to the wedding (when the second 50% is due), Rob gave me a call saying he had just been to The Rattlesnake to take measurements. He then offered a few suggestions on the initial lighting and draping design. Originally, I just wanted him to string the bistro lights and the draped fabric across the second floor of the atrium to make the space feel smaller, more intimate. Rob expressed concern that this might make the space feel not small, but claustrophobic. He offered up an alternative design that involved draping fabric and bistro light strings up and down from the second and third floors. This depended on the availability of a scissor lift, which Rob knew that building maintenance had. The alternative design Rob proposed was not quite the aesthetic I was going for, so I drew up two alternative designs and emailed them to him. The next time I spoke to him, he told me that one of my designs was a vision he also had. And we went with that one! I didn't have any flowers at my wedding. The lighting and draping made all the difference. Rob and his crew were able to get into the space the day before, so there were no concerns day of. He had one of his crew on sight the day of to set up a pipe and drape for the outdoor ceremony space ( this he threw in for free!) as well as to adjust the bistro lights which were on a dial. The atrium can be quite bright with the sun coming through the ceiling, but as the night rolled in, the bistro lights lit up the space in a perfect way.All in all, Rob and Chris were responsive, proactive, and their communication was top notch! I highly recommend them.
