I attended Ross 2 years ago, and since that time, Ross had made my life hell. Before I explain how, let's establish that the program itself is not bad. I took the pharmacy tech course and I ended up passing my PTCB with a very high score. We did have some issues with our instructor leaving in the middle of the semester; however that was eventually resolved. The new instructor was wonderful, and helped me immensely. Once the program went to primarily online, my life was destroyed.    Many years ago, my grandmother created a 529 for me. This generated enough money for me to go to Ross with no need for a loan. I was so grateful! When I signed up for the school, I was told a price, and I paid everything in full before even starting classes. There were no financial issues until my last module. All students were switched to online courses. I was told by my instructor Mrs. Sequin Suggs there wouldn't be no issues with the switch, since I was completely paid in full. I was grateful, because I was so close to graduation. Once I graduated, I began working at my externship. Shortly after my start date, Ross sent me a check for $2,631 which puzzled me, so I brought it to the associate director to inquire about it. I was informed by the associate director, Ms. Angela Holman, that I had overpaid, and the check in my hand was from my pell grant that had just come in. I thought it was strange, but I just left with the information I was given.   Two months into my full time pharmacy tech job, and I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my diploma. Strangely, it was taking a very long time to arrive. By the third month, I received a call from the financial aid department asking me to fill out information about student loans. Confused, I told her I graduated already, and had paid in full. She informed me that I had a balance of $3,265 and 90 DAYS OF LATE PAYMENTS THAT I HAD NO IDEA ABOUT!!! I was so angry, knowing I had more than enough left in my 529 to pay for it. However, I was told that someone had messed up my paperwork originally, giving me the wrong total to begin with. Then, while moving me to the online class, refunded me without my knowledge, and misinformed the staff as to what I had received. I have a bank check proving my original payment, as well as all of the original paperwork. I called so many people in financial aid, and was reassured ad nauseam that the 90 days late payment would be removed from my account. It has been YEARS, and regardless of my persistence, it has yet to be removed. At 22 my credit is destroyed! All for a school that I have/had the money to pay for. It is devastating. This would be such an easy thing to fix though, but Ross refuses to remove this lie that has been placed on my credit. I cannot in good conscience recommend school to anyone. How could I knowing let them destroy someone else's life as they have mine? Ross, I am pleading with you, please fix your mistake.*** To others that read this, anyone with a similar story, please contact me. If Ross does not fix this, we need to contact legal services, so we can help others as well as ourselves.
