I've given these guys steady business and respect for many many years.  They've become a terrible business.  Don't give them your money if you can help it. Unfair, unethical business practices

So I go there to buy $20 worth of stuff. The guy says didn't go through. So I try again, declined. I go back and buy $9 which I still have left. Told him you took that $21. He said not my problem. Well yes if you steal my money it is your problem. Report them to IRS and INS

Despite the other reviews stating the indifference towards customers, try going to an inner city liquor store and see how you are treated. Every time I have been to Prospect Party Store, I have been treated with respect. Be respectful and you will earn it in return. While at this store, the customer in front of me started giving the clerk a hard time simply because the customer had a hard time understanding the clerk. The clerk has a right to be here as much as the customer. There is no native language here; so accept it, deal with it, and move on. I liked the selection and I apologized to the clerk for the way he was treated by the previous customer. The clerk doesn't owe you anything; if I were the clerk, I'd have thrown the disrespectful customer out the door. Respect is earned, not a right. This place is great. I would recommend visiting and checking it out.
