Over the past 20 years we have used Plekkenpol on at least four projects on our 1941 house: bathroom addition, chimney rebuild/new gutters and fascia boards, screen rebuild and most recently a kitchen update. We keep on returning to Plekkenpol because the quality of their work is excellent, the employees and contractors are courteous and professional, and Plekkenpol coordinates all work so it is done timely and to minimize household disruption. Plekkenpol also impresses me with their thoughtfulness and resourcefulness in dealing with the nuances and charm of an older home. Thank you Plekkenpol!

We had our entire main level gutted and remodeled by Plekkenpol Builders. (Kitchen, dining, entryway, laundry room, family room, and living room, from floor to ceiling). We can't say enough good things about this company. From the very first meeting (with sales pro Eric Mahin) to the final walk-through, they were professional and high quality. The caliber of their employees and subs are impeccable and they were all really nice people as well! Reno, our project supervisor was always positive, helpful and responsive to our needs. He can figure out a way to do almost anything. Erik, our main carpenter was such a hard worker and easy to work with. Plekkenpol may not be the cheapest but they are the best!! You get what you pay for! Elegance is attention to detail, and that's what we've come to expect from Plekkenpol Builders. There's not a room in our home that Plekkenpol hasn't worked on since our first project back in 1991. We wouldn't think of calling anyone else. It started with skylights in our kitchen. We'd heard stories of poor skylight installation, but we badly needed to let in some sunshine. Our kitchen was the darkest room in our house. So we phoned the University of Minnesota and asked to speak to someone who knew a lot about skylights. A professor there recommended not only a specific skylight manufacturer, but Plekkenpol Builders to install them. We're so glad he gave us that advice. Our latest project, just completed, opened our dining room to our expanded garden. The new windows create such a deceptively clear barrier that hummingbirds have flown up, trying to get in, and at least one robin made a head-thumping dive against the new expanse of glass. It's as if it's all one now, a green, blooming oasis that feels like a conservatory. It was exactly what we wanted. There have been many other projects in between the first one and our most recent, but suffice it to say our home has finally come close to its full potential, an achievement that's rare in life. We heartily recommend Plekkenpol Builders to anyone who wants things done just right.

They were knowledgeable, professional, kind and carried the mud room/laundry room job into the kitchen so it would all tie in. All that and moreand never a complaint!!! The Plekkenpol experience was top quality from beginning to end. The people who did the work were the best and seem to approach each task as if it were their own home.
