Hertz Car Sales Minneapolis

Just another used car lot. Found a vehicle on their website, said it wouldn't be ready for a week, set up appointment online to view it/buy it the day it was supposed to be ready and now it isn't there anymore. But they are willing to sell me one of the many cars on the lot that are rated worst vehicle in their class by Consumer Reports. Hard to believe car dealers are still doing the old bait and switch routine. The sales rep and manager did discuss that the customer service center and the car lot are not the same and it seems in sync.

I was on the lot for almost 30 minutes, no help at all, and I was planning on purchasing 3 cars. Ended up buying from enterprise.

Can you ever really trust a used car dealer? These guys really want to make a sale, but we weren't ready to buy yet. Overall though Jenner was very helpful. Manager on duty, however, a little iffy.

Gonna keep trying to post because Cr*ig is a r*cist and they're hiding my review. (10/2020) Where do I start? This was the strangest experience I've ever had with vehicle buying. Legitimately couldn't tell if it was r*cist or s*xist or just plain bad. I saw a car online and put an application in. I got a call back the next morning which was great. The test drive was fine. Then I returned to the office to discuss pricing. I mentioned over email what my range was. I implied that if it was going to be a certain price or more, I didn't wanna waste their time or mine. But lo and behold, we wasted it anyway. Craig got really snippy really fast when he realized I wasn't going to sign the lease for a loan option that was written on a sticky note. They didn't show me anything from a bank or any additional financing information. I was just supposed to sign based on a number. The APR was high despite my credit being fair. I was about to pay nearly double the cost of the car. And I was pressured. In fact, his exact words were: "don't bother going out for a call in private because we're not going to negotiate anyway." While I was on my way to talk to a family member for advice. I should've walked out on that alone. Pro tip: sometimes people aren't in a rush to buy anything, and they're allowed to think about it. I hope the unprofessionalism was worth the loss of a sale. Despite there being cobwebs in the vehicle, this place must be doing great to be able to talk to someone like that.
