    They have a dying chameleon. This is the third one I've seen at this store. This store abuses their animals, specifically their reptiles, for sale by not taking care of them. Every time I come in I see some poor reptile suffering and it doesn't feel ethical for me to buy them and rehab them because they're just going to get another critter and kill it. Their enclosures say that they "take their health and wellness to a new level" and are "American Humane Certified" yet they let so many animals live malnourished, dehydrated, lacking essential vitamins and sometimes even infected with parasites. I've seen it at this store before. They also pre bag their crickets. I know they're "just insects" but I don't want to be buying crickets that are gonna die in a day because they've been suffocating for a day and a half in a sealed bag. This is the worst Petco I've ever been to.

    I had a terrible experience with their grooming department. I told them (twice) when I made the appointment that Id be running a few minutes late. Murphys law, I hit every red light but sped to get there when I said Id be there. I was 10 minutes late. I had to wait another 10 minutes before someone could check me in. When they were able to check me in they said I was 20 minutes late and would not help me. They were angry and rude when they told me this, I cant ever remember being treated so unkindly by a service professional. I realize they are stressed out and overworked, but its disheartening when youre treated so badly. It appears to be a trend as another reviewer had a similar experience. I guess I should be grateful because I would not want such unkind people grooming my dog! A blessing in disguise.
