        Nice area to visit. You can bounce between old growth forest and Lake Superior beach with its refreshing breeze. There is poison ivy so stay on the trails; once you get over the dunes to the beach you are clear as well.

        Our favorite way to enjoy the beach. Walk past the air strip about a mile, down the first section of gravel & through the first section of trees, & you'll have the beach to yourself.

        A great collection of old growth red and white pine. It's nice that the pines provide some shade and stiffen up the sandy soil. Some nice wildflowers along the trail.
