Hi Stacy, we have no record of you having or being charged for xrays or fillers at our office. We have no record of balances in these amounts with our office, or any conversations of such discussions- and every interaction with every patient is recorded by our EMR, so I think you are mistaken in what office you are reviewing. However, for the dental services that you were provided, your frustration is misdirected. We are not the insurance company. We do not have any control over what your insurance company does or does not pay, and what your policy benefits are. We provide dental services. We do not have any affiliation with your insurance company and have no idea what they will or will not chose to cover. We accept insurance as a form of payment and as a courtesy we will submit a claim on your behalf to your insurance company. The relationship is between you and your insurance company. Any questions regarding your insurance and what they did/did not cover, is on the explanation of benefits statement they send you. You can call them directly and they will explain it in detail for you, and if you aren't happy with it, you can appeal it or discuss it further with them. Your insurance company did not pay us because they paid out already during the year your full benefit amount. We have no idea what you have done outside of our office, so we would not know this information. When you came to our office and discussed getting treatment done, we provided you with an initial detailed treatment plan laying out each item, the cost, and what your insurance MIGHT cover- and we emphasize that we have no idea if they will or not because we do not know what other treatment you've had done outside our office, or if they will chose to deny your claim- regardless of what insurance does or does not pay, you will be responsible to pay the full remaining balance due for the dental services you received. This is clearly detailed in writing and discussed and we do not proceed if the plan is not signed and agreed to. Your insurance company is a corporate entity, their goal is to increase profits and return to shareholders to increase their stock price. They do this by increasing rates each year, reducing benefits to patients, and their mandated reimbursement rates to providers have not increased to match inflation in 20 years. To provide a 1 star google review to a small family owned dental office that provided high quality care to you because you are mad that your corporate insurance company didn't help pay your bill is misguided and disappointing.
