The hotel is obviously showing its age a bit but still a very decent room for the price we paid ($98 cdn) a night. What really impressed me was the friendly staff and the amazing breakfast, probably one of the best hotel breakfasts Ive had in a long time, (eggs, bacon, egg white frittata with spinach, yogurts, and a granola bar). I noticed that during the week the breakfast was more impressive and on Saturday it was more of a normal offering but still very good. The only negative would be the property not having its own pool area.

If you want to let the kids run all the energy out floor to ceiling slides I'm talking 30 ft high possibly mini basketball court bouncy house. It definitely not expensive parents are free... Didn't stay at the hotel but went for the indoor park

We stayed here Sun-Thu for Spring Break with our 3 and 5 year old. We picked it based on price for the room (King studio suite), breakfast being included, pool, and nearby park. While I understood from other reviews that the pool is part of the park district building next door and not the actual hotel, I wasn't expecting to be very limited on usage of the pool. Honestly the available hours are terrible and we never went to the pool. They have swim practice and a bunch of things blocking up the schedule; I cant take kids that little swimming from 7:15-8pm and we were out during the day being tourists. Fortunately part of our trip included a day pass for Great Wolf Lodge or my kids would have been devastated. This really should be disclosed up front or just taken off the listing. The park next door is awesome though! Kids had a blast climbing and running around. Other than the pool disappointment, our stay was great. They have an awesome hot breakfast every morning, with DIY waffles, oatmeal with buffet of toppings, fruit, cheeses, toast/bagels, yogurts, cereals, and scrambled eggs daily, and a variety of bacon/sausage/quiche/breakfast sandwiches on rotation different days. It's honestly a tremendous value for the entire stay being around $500 during spring break when it's just 8-10 min away from GWL and the Mall of America. Our room had a living area with pull out couch and separate King size bedroom, as well as a little corner kitchen, which included a microwave, sink (provided dish soap and new sponge), dishwasher, and "full size" fridge. The room was comfy, smelled nice, and had clean sheets. They brought extra pillows and towels within 10 min of me calling the front desk (room is really set for 2 with towels/pillows but no questions asked when requesting extra). I will say, however, the one day housekeeping came they made the beds and changed the towels but never took the garbage which really built up with 4 people in the room, even just the empty water bottles alone. Fortunately we didn't eat in the room much, or it would've been a problem. Overall, not a deal breaker and I would totally stay here again.
