        I have heard a lot about them so I had a panel upgrade done. Very pleased! Professional and friendly throughout the process. Great communication. Facility is very organized and clean-got a tour. Jed and Travis are top notch! Highly recommend!

        I brought my sailplane to SteinAir for a VFR transponder check. I worked with Travis who was very helpful and friendly. We talked about what they do at SteinAir and he showed me around the production area. Initially my transponders output was too low and we discussed the possible reasons. I double checked the antenna to transponder connection and found it was loose. A quick tighten and it passed the test. Whew! Travis and other mechanics were interested in my sailplane and we had a nice chat about flying and skydiving. Travis also demonstrated how to correctly remove the insulation on RG400 coax with a stripping tool. My experience at SteinAir was great and I'd recommend them you need a transponder check, either VFR or IFR, or other avionics needs. Thanks Travis and fellow SteinAir employees for making it a nice visit.
