Good Shepherd Lutheran Brethren Church

This church has absolutely gone above and beyond in selfishness, greed, and uncharitability. One of their most loyal parishioners passed away suddenly this week, after donating money to help with repairs as well as paying for the giant cross that you can see from the interstate - however the staff is unwilling to speak at her funeral as they are "too busy" to do it. I should also mention while this lovely woman was in hospice for five days, slowly losing her life - no one could be bothered to send a card or stop to comfort her. Guess the loyalty runs out after the money stops flowing, you know just like Jesus taught.

In response to the recent review about Good Shepherd Church, we wish to publicly extend our condolences to the family of the deceased member of our church.  The deceased member had moved to Fargo some time ago.  Due to circumstances of being short-staffed at the time of her death due to vacation and ill health, we failed to communicate with the family of the deceased in a timely fashion.  For this, we are deeply sorry and apologize to the family.  We have reached out to the family who responded to us with grace and understanding. To clarify a few points of the review published by someone who was not a part of the deceased family: At no time did either one of our pastors tell the family that they were “too busy” to speak at the funeral.  In fact, a response from the associate pastor clearly stated, “One of us would be honored to speak at the service.”  Another need of clarification is concerning the lack of ministry to the deceased during her time in Hospice care.  As far as we can discern, no one within our church was ever notified by either Hospice or the family to let us know that the now deceased woman had entered Hospice care.  The family’s focus was on their mother/grandmother at that time as it should have been, and understandably, they never let us know. Again, we deeply regret any part of miscommunication with the family and we are grateful to have known a faithful woman in Christ who is rejoicing in the presence of her Savior.  (Leadership Team of Good Shepherd Church)
