If I could give less than a star I would. I am forced to close my HSA due to the fact that I have been unable to access my account to pay my medical bills since the end of August. I have called numerous times, was always promised a call back because they couldn't figure out what the issue is and yet I have never received a call back. I am done being patient. My advice, don't open an account with Optum Financial Services.

I have a account that is money for reimbursement for medical from a company I retired from. I have to submit receipts, then get reimbursed.
I find far too many get rejected for no real reason. I feel they don't take the time to really look well enough at what we send in.
One time I submitted six items. All six got rejected!!!! In time after many calls, all six were paid. It shouldn't have to be this way!!
They also have trouble with one time payments and re-occurring payments. What shoud be a one time they break into 12ths....then then reject each one! If they would just read my notes in big letters this wouldn't happen.
It is very annoying. I guess they hope I will just give up and go crawl under a rock but I wont do that!!!
Some things work OK. If you scan and send in on the website it seems to work fine. The problem is when a human comes into it and doesn't make enough effort to figure it out, and just rejects it wrongly.
The unfortunate part is your employer chooses this company, part of United Health and you don't have a choice! It seems to be the norm for this industry though.
