Don't appreciate how the landlord handles business. Re-signed lease for another year, but was not made aware that they would no longer be paying for ANY utilities. So as well as rent going up (which I was made aware of), I'm also stuck paying for heat, which I don't even use because my thermostat doesn't even work! Along with the ceiling fan that stopped working, and how about the wasps nest I complained about over and over again that was never PROPERLY dealt with. One time our electricity went out on a Saturday, and I had called the landlord and the business line multiple times, left multiple voicemails, then didn't hear back until MONDAY. To which I was told to have called her personal phone, Which I had left voicemails on. The electrician came, and said he has fixed many around here like this, and that the fuse was built for automotive use originally. Let's also talk about how the landlord stole $300 dollars for a cat that is my girlfriends legal emotional support animal, she took it as a deposit which she legally isn't able to do and holds it to this very day, along with the security deposit. Which. Like with most of our neighbors. Won't be getting back. Which by the way, I learned months after they had flipped our closet doors to hide the damage because someone had punched a hole in it. My personal opinion. I'm stuck here in a lease, I have all my furniture and everything here. My garage is fully setup. That's a whole operation just to move. Just look elsewhere, I've seen a couple good places in Big Lake, or in Buffalo, for around the same price. Update 7/24: Girlfriends mini van that she uses for work every day got a flat tire on Sunday. No tire shops were open, so we had to wait until Monday to get it fixed. Monday comes and I brought the tire to discount tire. Same day repair. Wasn't even able to finish work before receiving a text that my car would be immediately towed if I do not move it, (without a wheel). I called the landlord and had a heated discussion with her, she claimed that she was able to tow it due to liability reasons, and that I had agreed to the policy. After reviewing the policy, it states that any vehicle in unusable shape shall get a 24hr notice before having to tow, which was not applied to my situation. Due to this. I had to leave work early, losing around 3 hours of income due to this issue. It's sad seeing someone who runs the building, not even know their own rules.
